Darjeeling Sencha - Green Tea
Darjeeling Sencha is produced from the quality green tea clones which have less tannin content than the usual Darjeeling clones. Manufactured during the prime first and second flush period they are made from delicately plucked two leaves and a bud. They are processed by special green tea machinery. The leaves are polished and have a silky appearance. Unlike the regular green tea they hardly taste bitter and have a nice pleasing green tea pine flavor.
Elixir –FTGFOP1 (GT)- the regular Darjeeling Green Tea
This is made by plucking the regular two leaves and a bud. It is then conditioned before steaming them. The steaming process kills all the enzymes and the leaf then does not ferment anymore. It is then rolled dried and subsequently sorted.
