The second flush of Darjeeling is one of the prime reasons that has given Darjeeling Tea a unique place among the different origin specialties. It is simply unparalleled. Second Flush is the jewel of all black teas and the flavor is so unique that is has even got a name. It is famous as “muscatel” throughout the world.

The prime second flush starts by end of May and ends by the last week of July. The tea is even said to mature into better quality once it leaves the factory.

Second Flush is special as it is marked with a special tinge of sweetness. The teas are delicately rolled and processed to preserve the natural character in them. Brownish leaf with random tips, opulent flowery golden cup, and full bodied with an abundant sweet muscatel flavour.

There is a lot of range and variety manufactured during the second flush. Not all the tea manufactured is of the same quality. This is mainly because of differences in elevation, quality of bushes and quality of leaves plucked from the bushes. We mark our different quality as follows.

These teas are unparallel second flush clonal teas. The teas have a blackish leaf appearance with a high quantity of tips. They have abundant flavour and aroma with honey dew flavour. The teas are sweet to taste with a very good aroma. They leave a very pleasant aftertaste.
