Introducing the Darjeeling Organic First Flush Tea 2024 from Avongrove Tea Estate. Harvested from chinary clones cultivated in the elevation of 4000 feet, these leaves are meticulously grown using organic farming practices in the serene hills of Darjeeling. Picked shortly after the winter chill subsides, they promise an unparalleled tea experience.
The leaves are carefully plucked and expertly processed, resulting in a blend of mostly dark and light green rolled dry leaves with delicate silver tips. Upon brewing, expect light yellow liquor with a refreshing aroma reminiscent of spring and fresh vegetation. This Darjeeling Organic First Flush Tea has a very smooth and clear texture with a mouthful sweet fruity character and the flavour of wildflowers. Additionally you can easily feel the crisp of apple, the sweetness of plum and a soft vegetal note. A mild astringency adds a perfect balance to the overall cup.
Avongrove garden spread across two hills at the foot of the Himalayas, among tea bushes and dense forest in the valleys, overlooking the Balasun River. The estate is certified organic under US Department of Agriculture (USA), Japanese Agricultural Standards (Japan) and National Programme for Organic Production (India & the EU).
