Gopaldhara Roasted Black Tea – Classic Series( DJ-131)
$5.37 / 100 grams paper box
This is a unique roasted black tea, only manufactured at Gopaldhara Tea Estate completely new style for Darjeeling. This is the proper technique to make roasted tea which all the East Asian counties are following. To make a proper roasted cup we need heat-treat the leaves at least 3 to 4 times at a very high temperature. As a result, we get a combination of rich, complex, earthy, and sweet textures with prominent notes of dark chocolate.
The dry leaves are dark brown in colour that brew into a well-layered orange cup which gives a sweet muscatel flavour with a hint of nuts and acidic sourness. This tea has a grippy wine character that grabs you by the mouth. The aftertaste is hard and long-lasting.
